Sleigh rides

Go on a sleigh ride only in Zakopane! Winter sleigh rides combined with a bonfire, singing and regional treats are one of the favorite tourist attractions of Zakopane. The sleigh consists of horse-drawn carts pulling one after sleigh another. It is a kind of game for tourists coming to Zakopane, which is often accompanied by highland music and singing and good fun, finished with a feast around a campfire or in a regional hut. From the 17th century to the early 20th century, sleigh rides were a very popular entertainment for the aristocracy.

- Sleigh ride with torches (about 1 hour) – sleigh ride through a scenic route. Departure from and return to ul. Pardałówka 51
- A sleigh ride with torches and treats in a regional hut (2-2.5 hours) - about one-hour ride along the scenic route, arrival to the hut, refreshments and return. Refreshment consists of: roasted sausage separately on the fire, additives and hot drinks.
- Free for children under 4 years - Sleigh rides for individual customers are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in the afternoon.
For organized groups (of about 30 people), there is also a possibility to set the date of the sleigh ride. During the event the watra is constantly burning in the fire pit, where you can roast a sausage, listen to highland music and dance. Each participating tourist will remember those exciting moments for a long time. On the special order, it is possible to roast a piglet and serve other dishes.

The sleigh ride sets off from the Wielka Krokwia in the glow of torches illuminating the forest route. The sleigh ride is one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the winter scenery of the Tatras. It takes place every day. The route runs in the area of Wielka Krokwia and forest paths, through the so-called Droga pod Reglami. Thesleigh ride lasts about 1 hour, after which a bonfire is organized with roasting sausages together. A two-tiered regional hut for about 100 people awaits the frozen guests. It is possible to order a highlander band. On a special order, it is possible to roast a piglet and serve other dishes.

Everyone can join the sleigh ride, home-like atmosphere and great fun in the highlander climate for the whole family are guaranteed. In the winter, sleigh rides are organized every day upon prior reservation.  In the summer, sleighs are replaced with carts and you can have equally great fun, with highland music and bonfires.
