Provincial Educational Library in Zakopane

As part of education system, we mostly help improving skills of teachers and students aspiring to become one. The library is still open for other readers, who can find much needed literature here. Małopolska province pedagogical libraries, with Podkarpacie province libraries, created "Galitia educational libraries" consortium, with main goal to allow acces to digital Ibuk Libra repository for library readers. This website offers digital versions of scientific books published by most important polish publishing houses.

The Zakopane branch of Provincial Educational Library holds around 18 thousand of books and booklets. It consists collections of all fields of knowledge. The book repository is catalogued mostly for educational fields. 70% of publications are educational subject and 30% of them are other disciplines, with particular inclusion of psychology and sociology. The library collection consists of mostly up to date publications, presenting newest theories and innovations in education and also methodical descriptions for teachers and tutors (programs, scenarios). It also stores demo versions of school textbooks from various publication houses and textbook set from MAC Edukacja print (kindergarten, primary school).

Journals
Currently the library is subscribed annually to 38 journals with national reach – mostly educational, methodical, psychological and from the field of librarianship.

monday, tuesday, thursday, friday from 9.00 to 16.00
wednesday is closed due to interior day
