Arkadiusz
Waloch –
painter, drawer, educator from National Fine Arts School Complex in
Zakopane. In years 1953-1955 he studied propaganda graphic in Krakow
Fine Arts Academy Katowice branch and painting in Fine Arts Academy
in Krakow. He got his diploma in prof. Emil Krcha's atelier in 1961.
Since 1959 he lives in Zakopane.
In 1961 he got a job in National Fine Arts Highschool in Zakopane,
where he conduced drawing and painting workshop. He had a position in
Association of Polish Artists and Designers, being its chairman for
two years. He also was a part of Zakopane Municipal Nation Council.
In years 1963-1972 he managed “Pegaz” gallery. He has his own art
gallery in Zakopane. His wife, Anna Waloch was a Municipal Art
Gallery in Zakopane director in years 1968-2007.
Since 1960 (first exhibition took place in Tatra Museum in Zakopane).
Waloch presented his painting on more than dozen individual
exhibitions in country and abroad like France, Czechoslovakia,
Norway, Germany, Finland. In June 2010 there was an “Arkadiusz
Waloch – Painting. 50 years of creative work” exhibition in
Municipal Art Gallery in Zakopane. His favorite theme is tatra
painting, family portraits, self portraits. His “papal series”
(John Paul II pictures) are particularly popular.
