The green trail starts at parking lot
at Olczyska Valley outlet on Jaszczurówka, Zakopane. You can get
there by your car, go on foot or use public transportation.
On the right side, the prewar thermal
pool remains are visible. Currently, the Tatra National Park
Amphibians and Reptiles Active Protection Center is located there.
Before start, we must buy a Tatra National Park entry ticket at the
nearby booth. Up the valley goes the forest path, often muddy after
the rain. It takes about an hour of march to get to the Olczyska
Clearing, passing Olczyskie Wywierzysko (1090 MASL). Up to this day,
there are shepherd's huts on the clearing as traces of old times
(Olczyska Clearing once was a part of Olczysko Hall).
The green trail turns left. At first
the path goes up slightly, later becoming steep. After around 30
minutes of walk we get to the colorful Kopieniec Clearing edge. There
is a group of antique shepherd's huts. From there it is only fifteen
minutes of climbing on nearby Wielki Kopieniec peak, where the vast
panorama of Kotlina Zakopiańska and Gąsienicowa Hall's surrounding
peaks spreads out. We can turn, and go back the same way, or go
further down with green and then red trail to Cyrhla.
